Mobile My Account

Following the success of the launch, a similar process was undertaken to create a mobile friendly version of the Telstra self-service portal My Account. The approach for this project involved categorising the UI components in order of complexity and creating a new Application style guide / UI Kit.

As the mobile portal is more utilitarian in nature, many challenges presented themselves around the customers intent & expectation when interacting with a “mobile web” application versus a “native app”. 

Some of the affordances and patterns presented in native iOS and Android apps needed to be rethought and resolved in a more platform-agnostic manner. These included things like toggle switches, tab bars and usage graphs.
